The Health Collaborative is an approved CE provider for Nursing, Social Work and CPH.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)

National Hispanic Medical Association will provide 2 CMEs for attendees of the Texas Chapter Meeting, Thursday, October 15, 2020. CME is free for NHMA members and a $25 fee for non NHMA members.

University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) will provide free CMEs for attendees of any of the four TDSR Health Forum sessions. See statement below:

Continuing Medical Education Credit - Accreditation Statement

The Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

 

The Long School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Certificate of Attendance - Statement

Healthcare professionals will receive a certificate of attendance and are asked to consult with their licensing board for information on applicability and acceptance.

 

Credit may be obtained upon successful completion of the activity’s evaluation.

We offer continuing education credits for Community Health Workers (CHW), Social Workers, Nurses, and Certified in Public Health (CPH) as well as CMEs for select sessions. If you are interested in obtaining continuing education during the conference, please complete the post-event online survey to receive a certificate.

Community Health Workers

We are pleased to provide non-certified continuing education hours. For certified CHWs, this certificate can be submitted to the state for Non-Certified Continuing Education credit. Per the state of Texas DSHS CHW Certification Renewal, you must renew your CHW certificate every two years. To renew your certificate, you must complete 20 hours of continuing education (10 hours of DSHS-certified and 10 hours of non-certified hours) related to the core competencies during each two-year renewal period.

To receive your credits, you must register to attend the session and complete an online post-event survey. You will receive your certificate awarding credits via email.

Social Workers and Nurses

We are pleased to provide social work and nursing continuing education credits. All sessions have been approved for social work and nursing continuing education.

​

To receive social work and nursing continuing education, you must register to attend the session and complete an online post-event survey. You will receive your certificate awarding credits via email.

​

Certified in Public Health (CPH)

We are pleased to provide CPH continuing education credits. All sessions have been approved for CPH credits.

​

To obtain CPH continuing education, you must register to attend the session and complete an online post-event survey. You will receive your certificate awarding credits via email.

Continued Medical Education (CME)

We are pleased to provide CME credits for the NHMA and TDSR conference sessions, October 15-16, 2020.

To obtain CME continuing education, you must register to attend the session and complete an online post-event survey. Please see CEU Sponsor information below for details on fees. You will receive your certificate awarding credits via email.

General

All participants who have provided an email address will receive an electronic certificate of attendance within two weeks following the end of the conference. To receive this certificate, please make sure that we have your email address upon registration.
