After working together as a full organizational staff to respond to urgent community needs at the onset of the pandemic in 2020, The Health Collaborative formalized a COVID-19 Response team of 2 staff in summer 2021. One year later, this team has grown to 5 full-time staff with additional support from Workforce Solutions Alamo candidates and seasonal college interns. The team has language talents including English, Spanish, Pashto, Urdu and Dari, which allows us to connect with more families to deliver important health messaging and resources.

With goals to educate about COVID-19 and increase access to vaccines in communities where COVID has hit the hardest, our team makes their way across San Antonio and into rural counties, hosting events, convening partners, and coordinating COVID vaccine clinics.
